Contact our team to create a vaccination plan for your feline companion.
Vaccinating your kitten is essential in protecting them against a range of preventable diseases. During their first wellness exam, we’ll discuss the types of vaccines best suited for their individual needs. No two feline friends are the same and neither are two vaccination plans. If you’re interested in having your kitten or cat vaccinated, please contact 705-522-4555.
Your kitten should be vaccinated during their first few weeks of life, typically starting when they’re 6 to 8-weeks-old and continuing every few weeks until their 4–month birthday. Until your kitten has received a series of vaccines, they are more susceptible to a range of serious but preventable diseases. Core vaccines are absolutely necessary to maintain your pet’s health whereas non-core vaccines depend on the likelihood of your furry friend contracting the illness. We recommend the following vaccines:
We recommend boosters to help your pet maintain their immunity against the range of illness they’re vaccinated against as kittens. Depending on the vaccines, these could be administered yearly or every 3 years. Vaccines protect your pet against a range of preventable diseases that could otherwise be detrimental to their health. The goal of vaccines is to either provide full immunity against diseases or limit the disease’s effect on your pet’s body, if they get infected. We highly recommend vaccination as a safe and important step for your pet’s health.
