COVID-19 Preparedness at Lockerby Animal Hospital

Lockerby Animal Hospital is taking every measure to maintain a disease-free environment, and keep our team and our clients healthy.
Concerning food sales, should your pet need food that is not available on our shelves, please use our online webstore (www.myvetstore.ca/lockerbyah ) or call 705-522-4555 to special order the food. We would also advise that you have extra supply of your pet’s medications on hand in case of any closure. Our central supply agency has not advised that there is any delay in shipping however, we have received emails from other suppliers to this effect. Please do not wait until you are almost out to reorder food or medicine.
As a veterinary hospital, we are already taking many sanitation measures to prevent the spread of viruses and disease. We have increased our existing efforts by wiping all surfaces at the reception desk including the point of sale terminals after each transaction as well as entrance door knobs touched by clients.
We will be adopting a screening protocol for our appointment bookings. Depending upon a client’s risk factors, we will follow specific protocols to minimize risk of infection to our team and other clients. Please be patient when booking appointments, to facilitate this new protocol and maintain a healthy environment at the clinic. Booking through the App will be suspended at this time.
At this point, the clinic will be open for business. However, we will continue to monitor the situation and adhere to recommendations made by Health officials as well as using our own best judgement to keep our team and clients healthy.
